I would ideally present my final piece, a moving image work, on a colour television set of the period (1970). At this time colour TV was a sign of wealth and prestige, although entirely superficial. I would have the TV set positioned diagonally facing outwards from the corner of a neutral gallery space. In removing the TV from the context of its era and the home living room, the garishness and dated qualities of the video and screen are emphasised. It also highlights the removal of Fanny Cradock's archival material from its context, and the distortion of memory that it results in.
