The short art film The Black Tower by John Smith is available for a short time online right now, so I was able to watch the whole thing for the first time. I love the eerie tone and aesthetic of the film, the dead-pan narration of the "story" is somehow gripping to me. The black tower as an ominous, ever-present landmark haunting the speaker aligns with my perception of obsession and research, although with a less morbid outcome.
